TRAINING

Join us for training, a social run or a strength and conditioning session!

Tuesday Evenings On hold

JANUARY 2021 Update: All training is now on hold as per most recent government guidance.

On Tuesday evenings, we meet by the bike shed at the Archive Centre car park and begin at 6:05 sharp. The training format is decided in advance and typically involves a 3-4km warm-up followed by off-road hill reps and speed work with the occasional road session. Typical training locations include the quarry, canal and the Mast (Craig Dunain). Please remember a head torch.

Please make sure to:
  • Review the risk assessment (Word document below)
  • Arrive in training kit
  • Provide Dougie or Fraser with up-to-date contact details (phone and email address)
  • Sanitise and/or wash hands prior to session

Please review the following guidelines before coming along:
  • Maximum group size of 30. A "field of play bubble" can be created when the activity is taking place, in effect suspending Scottish Government household number guidelines for the duration of the activity.
  • The "field of play" rules apply from the start of the warm-up to the end of the session.
  • Risk assessment of our training area in place to ensure that numbers attending are appropriate for maintaining physical distancing and safety measures have been considered.
  • Respect physical distancing for any members of the public we meet whilst training
  • Normal physical distancing guidelines apply before and after the sessions (see Scottish Government guidelines).
  • There will be a Covid Co-ordinator at each session. Their role is to:  carry 2 masks, pair of gloves and basic first aid, remind people of safety behaviour, photograph group and record contact details of new runners at the start of each session.
