Beinn Buidhe Bheag

To reach the start point, follow the B9006 out of Inverness past Culloden Battlefield, turn right at the crossroads at Culloden Moor Inn, follow the signs to Clava Cairns. Once over the bridge and past Clava Lodge, head straight on past the Cairns turnoff, the road bends left and passes under the railway viaduct, then up a hill to a junction. Turn right, pass the cottage on your right and a track to your left just before a small bridge. There is car parking space just after this bridge on your right, and the start/finish point is the beginning of the track before the bridge (NH 678 444). The route is all on good tracks, some of which however are not on the 1:50000 map.

Route: Start at the track by the bridge, head straight on at the first junction with the farm to your left. The track heads round some fields and through a gate to climb through the woods to emerge at the edge of the moor under the power lines. Keep heading straight on, and take the first track on your left. Follow this with Beinn Buidhe Bheag on your right, and take the first track on your right which climbs to the summit; just past half way up you will need to take a left when you reach a junction. Keep going off the summit and down the other side, and turn right to join the other track when you reach it; keep going straight down past a hut, and then to the junction where you turned off earlier.
